Son Mission Trades
Accelerated 12-Month Trade School for youth in the Busia District
About Son Mission Trades:
SM Trades is an accelerated, 12-month program for at-risk youth in the Busia District of Uganda, Africa. The 12-months are broken-down into 5 months of classroom learning and 7 months of hands-on application. We partner with an organization in the United Kingdom called "Tools with a Mission" (TWAM). This partnership allows our students to have their own tool kit after they graduate. Our aim is to position youth to attain sustainable skills for the purpose of financial sustainability and practical service to their community. Our instructors are certified in their respected fields - giving students the best opportunity to learn foundational skills. Additionally, we focus on discipleship and character development. Our students go through yearlong Jesus-centered curriculum to learn more about who they are and why they are called to serve God and others.

Scholarships:Many youth are at-risk in the Busia District. Boys often venture into drugs and drop out of school. Girls are often in vulnerable situations that leave them jobless and alone with babies. These at-risk youth are the main target for scholarships. We want them out of the streets and into the workplace. Additionally, we teach them about God and their value in Him. You can practically position youth to become self-sustainable by providing a scholarship for 25.00 per month or 300.00 per year. This scholarship provides meals, materials, school fees, and a tool kit.
