How We Serve Orphans in the Busia District of Uganda, Africa

Caregivers who are in need of help to support their orphans apply for "orphan support" through Son Mission Busia. After approval, we engage in individual and collective discipleship for both the caregivers and orphans. Then we search for a church in the USA ​who will commit to seeing a class of orphans graduate high school. This is not a small commitment. Our aim is positioning orphans to flourish in Christ and become sustainable adults. They have been unfortunate, abandoned, and forgotten. We strive to be a stable, committed voice in their development.

"I started in Son Mission in 2016. I went through both discipleship classes in Primary (Sheep Primer & All about Jesus) and passed the National Exam to get into High School. Son Mission found me a sponsor who paid for my National Exam, schools fees for High School, and all my boarding needs. Corona brought challenges for 2 years in Uganda but the Son Mission team continued to encourage me in God's Word. I'm excited to be back in school. I'm currently number 1 in my class and want to become a doctor.
